To give an authentic platform to his passion for Deep, Tech and Latin House, it became necessary to Mike Dippon aka DJ Mike MD to create another pseudonym especially for these genres. The varied musical interests of the native German, who describes himself as a world citizen, could irritate the music lovers, the loss of credibility would result.

In particular, the number of visits to the Caribbean and Brazil, but also the DJ sets of Coronabros in Russia and North Africa have made the desire, to confront a neutral audience without being affected by the previous musical background of Mike MD.

2008 finally Miq Puentes – recording artist and DJ, was formed as the denominator of influences from hip hop, pop, Latin and of course all genres of House Music.

And it was worth it: All releases and remixes on Soulheat Records (Belgium) are topsellers, led by its track “Ay Que Lindo,” the single in the Traxsource charts in 2009 and climbed up to # 21, after none other than Grant Nelson ( UK) selected the track for his DJ set and putted it into his personal Traxsouce charts.

In May 2010 Miq´s “Mambo King” is released on Mylo Records. It was the first self-production since “Ay Que Lindo” – after an extended period of exclusive productions & remixes for labels like EEEAR music, Soulheat Records, Oxyd Records, Tenor Recordings, Isla Recordings, Milk & Sugar, Epic / Sony Music, EMI Electrola, Uptunes Records, a45 Records, Kingdom Kome Cuts, amo.

Another release in 2010 is “Musicas”, Miq´s first step to overseas, the signing label Azucar Digital is based in New York and licensed the track to Tocame – the right place for House music with passion…
