Equal parts left and right brain, with an extra serving of bass.
Alexander Drazin (ADMN)
Beneath a good-natured grin and glasses akin to Clark Kent, Alexander Drazin, aka ADMN, is a sonic superhero. With an innate knack for music and technology, he has been conscientiously honing his craft since childhood. Having learned to play piano, trumpet and bass guitar all before graduating from high school, his extensive training in Classical and Jazz theory and technique only propel his propensity for making electronic music. Inspired by the darkest reaches of his native Detroit, the DJ/Producer brings skill and tenacity to the studio and the stage. His performance achievements include appearances alongside Lee Curtiss, Worthy, Christian Martin, Monty Luke and Kevin Saunderson.
Drazin’s production prowess got a jump-start when he served as Audio Engineer at Allure Sound Studios, where he assisted in the production of several records, including Eminem’s Recovery. After playing as one half of the duo Autoclave, Drazin has now set out as a solo artist. A Network Engineer by day, he describes his process in the studio as being equal parts left and right brain, with an extra serving of bass. It comes as no surprise then that ADMN’s booty-shaking beats have quickly caught the attention of Worthy and Rob Made, who have released his music on their Anabatic and Sleazy Deep stamps, respectively. Flaunt It, his debut solo EP, was just released on Anabatic, with a track premiere on THUMP. Be on the lookout for a rework from ADMN on Worthy’s forthcoming Disbehave remix package, a remix of Doug English’s Shut It on Grooverdose and a track on Perfect Driver Music’s pending compilation.
