Restless clubbers and diggers for house and new jack swing pearls, Philippe & Dang Khoa team up in 2009 and designed together two EPs full of vice and generous basslines. “Knock Em Down” (Get The Curse, 2010) and the underground hit “Truckin” (Clouded Vision, 2011) quickly gathered praise from DJs such as Soul Clap, Ivan Smagghe, Optimo and DJ T. who chose “Truckin” for his compilation “30 years of disco” on Get Physical. Their sets with a gangster disco attitude make them unavoidable DJs on the French scene, from lesbian clubs in Pigalle to sunday warehouses, then as residents at Rex Club. Their taste for house songs sweats out of a perfect string of remixes for Sishi Roch, Class B Band and labels like Exploited and Sound Pellegrino. In 2012, Items & Things signs “Player”, a modern echo of Jamie Principles chicagoan r&b, ready to warm out the Miami Winter Conference, before a new EP on Marketing Music coming out before summer.
