Icicle aka Jeroen Snik was born & raised in Holland. At the Age of 8 Icicle first started playing piano and soon got onto the drum kit. It wasn’t long until he started making beats using an old school midi set-up and aged 15 he became hooked on drum and bass after going to local night Jungle Galaxy. Getting some turntables and better music making software followed and Icicle was on his way.

All the while his own Rinse FM show would go from strength to strength.

2013 brought with it a hectic DJ’ing schedule which saw him play at some of the biggest clubs and festivals accoss Europe, Australia and the USA. After high profile remixes for the likes of Icona Pop and Noisia it was his pivotal track ‘Anxious’ that sealed the year as part of Shogun’s award-winning album compilation series ‘Way Of The Warrior 2’.

At the start of 2014 Icicle cemented this reputation releasing his very own patches as part of the brand new Molekular Modular unit by global market leading Native Instruments.

This year also heralded his sophomore album ‘Entropy’ which smashed its way to the top of the D&B charts and marked a more centred approach, gaining him plaudits from critics and fans alike all across the world. It also allowed Icicle to begin work on engineering his brand new live show that would take his performances beyond just DJ’ing and since then Icicle’s ‘Entropy Live’ tour has taken in some the best events all over the UK and Europe from Exit Festival to Fabric London. Playing completely live in real-time with no click track or computer screens in sight, coupled with bespoke visuals also VJ’d live has taken the Icicle to a whole new level, setting himself truly in a league of his own.
