Joe Europe

Biography

Originally from South London, UK and now residing in Toronto, Canada, Joe has been a lover of all things house for over 20 years!

He has held down numerous residencies since he started DJing back in 1995 at venues across the South East of England and in Toronto.

Having played all over Europe and North America, Joe states his favourite gigs as: Playing alonside Norman Jay at Ministry of Sound, London, the Bamboo club on a beautiful Spanish hillside in Bilbao and rocking a packed sweaty basement in a small club in the heart English countryside. Nothing makes Joe happier than watching a crowd react to the music he plays.

Joe does not conform to one sub-genre of house music alone and loves most styles but his roots are in Soulful house music with lush keys, deep basslines and rich stunning vocals. Joe considers himself an expert on most sub-genres of house music and enjoys listening to, and spinning, deep house, jackin house, disco, nu-disco, soul, downtempo and old skool hip-hop.

Joe cites his influences as: Masters at Work, Joey Negro, Dimitri from Paris, Frankie Feliciano, Bobby & Steve, CJ Mackintosh, Mark Farina, Ian Pooley, Fred Everything & Derrick Carter among many others.
